Connecting with your own nature

I have recently moved, and part of my daily routine now involves a walk through the area near my home.

I am blessed to have a short walk through a wooded area, currently covered in wildflowers, beautifully shaded and soft underfoot, it’s a little oasis between the streets beyond and home.

It has reminded me of the power of connecting with my own physical nature. Just taking a short while to pause, to breathe in the scents of the woods, and to listen to the sounds of nature around me, gives me a re-set.

Life seems to be so cognition driven at the moment, on demand technology predominates, and there is often little space for connection physically.

Taking a little time, and building into your daily routine, can be a big help in shifting mental health. Being near water and near trees can be good for health, in fact just tending a few plants can be a welcome respite from the relentlessness of the media world.

Finding your own authentic ways to connect can help to deepen your #connection with yourself, it somehow reminds of who we really are and our heritage before the world that has so rapidly transformed around us.

If you want to find some space for connecting with your own nature, get in touch to consider #psychotherapy. It can be a powerful compliment to also connecting with the #nature around you.
