Neuro-Linguistic Programming Therapy Trauma Protocol

wild geese.webp

The Neuro-Linguistic Programming Psychotherapy  (NLPt) Trauma Protocol offers an effective way to work with symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex post-traumatic stress disorder (cPTSD).  It addresses situations where events of the past are intruding in the present and impacting your behaviour, thoughts and feelings detrimentally.

The protocol builds on previous adaptations of the Visual Kinaesthetic Dissociation approach that has been used in NLP for decades.  We are each unique and we encode or hold meaning in our experiences in our own individual ways.  The protocol is designed to change the meaning you are making from what you have experienced, letting go of distress and freeing you to live in the present without distortions from the past impacting you.

The protocol is not suitable for all circumstances and careful assessment is needed to make sure it is a good match for you.  The process is tailored to each individual to match it to what it is you need.  It usually runs over three therapy sessions and can be integrated into a wider psychotherapeutic approach to enable you to heal in the way that is right for you.

The protocol is currently being used in Clinical Trials conducted by Kings College London and is showing efficacy, research will be published in due course about these trials.
