A poem about resilience

look at you.

still standing

after being

knocked down

and thrown out.

look at you.

still growing

after being

picked and plucked

and prodded out of

your home.

look at you.

still dancing

and singing

after being

defeated and disassembled.

look at you, love.

still here and hopeful

after it all.

I read this poem by Alex Elle in a post I shared on social media, and it really moved me. It speaks to me of the capacity of life to endure, to rise again, to keep going after difficulty and to look hopefully to the present despite what the past held. Not just surviving, standing, growing, dancing and singing, living. Just beautiful.

Wishing you a weekend filled with the vibrance and resilience of life and love.
